The Library Association Record was a British library journal, published by the Library Association.

Publication History

The Library Association Record began in 1899. A new series began in 1923. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) The title shortened to LA Record in 1992. Publication ceased in 2002, around the time the Library Association merged with the Institute of Information Scientists to form the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (now known as CILIP).

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1899-1928: HathiTrust has all 24 volumes of the first series, and volumes 1-6 of the second series. Access may be restricted outside the United States. Volumes may be listed out of order, and some may be mislabeled 'volume 1' without a date. Some later volumes may be searchable but not readable online here.
