Lippincott's Magazine

Lippincott's Magazine was a monthly magazine of literature and science, published in Philadelphia in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Publication History

Lippincott's Magazine began publication in 1868 as Lippincott's Magazine of Literature, Science, and Education. Its title changed slightly over the years. New series numbering was introduced in parallel in 1881, but was eventually abandoned in favor of the original volume numbering. In 1915 the magazine moved to New York and then was renamed McBride's Magazine under new ownership; the next year it was absorbed into Scribner's Magazine.
