Publication History

Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences began in 1877 as the successor to Annals of the Lyceum of Natural History of New York (reflecting the old name of the Academy). The first copyright-renewed issue is December 1965 (v. 132 no. 1). We know of no actively copyright-renewed contributions. (More details) It is still published today.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1877-1929: HathiTrust has volumes 1-31 freely readable online. Access to volumes after 1898 may be restricted outside the United States. Some later volumes may be searchable but not readable online at this site.
• 1883-1920: The Biodiversity Heritage Library has volumes 3-28.
• recent, partial: PubMedCentral has preprints and author manuscripts for over 1000 articles that appeared in the last 50 years of the journal.
