Out West

Out West was "a magazine of the Old Pacific and the New", published in Los Angeles in the early 20th century.

Publication History

Out West began publishing under that title in 1902, succeeding The Land of Sunshine and continuing its issue numbering. Publication was suspended after the April 1910 issue, and then resumed in December 1910 "publishing The Spectator under lease" under a new series. After 8 volumes of new-series numbering, the magazine reverted to overall volume numbering with volume 41 in 1915. Out West ran until 1923, when it merged with the Overland Monthly to form Overland Monthly and Out West Magazine.
