The Philistine

The Philistine was an American periodical of protest, published by the Society of the Philistines in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Most of it was written by Elbert Hubbard. Originally subtitled "A Periodical of Protest", it assumed a number of other subtitles over its run.

Publication History

The Philistine began in 1895. It published 41 volumes between then and 1915, the year Hubbard died.
