Physical Review
Physical Review was an American physics journal, and is now a family of journals published by the American Physical Society. (There is a Wikipedia article about this serial.)
Publication History
Physical Review began in 1893. The American Physical Society took over the journal and began a second series in 1913. The first copyright-renewed issue is July 1, 1956 (v. 103 no. 1). We know of no actively copyright-renewed contributions. (More details) A supplement series began in 1929, and Physical Review Letters spun off in 1958. In 1970 the journal split into four series, A-D, and there are now many more descendant journals under the Physical Review name.
