Proceedings of the Association for Promoting the Discovery of the Interior Parts of Africa, also known as Proceedings of the African Association, was a publication of a British association supporting exploration of West Africa.

Publication History

The Association was founded in 1788. Its first volume of Proceedings was published in 1790. Various other Proceedings were issued irregularly over the next 20 years, with a 2-volume compilation that included past Proceedings being published in 1810. The Association coninued until 1831, when it was absorbed into the Royal Geographical Society.

• 1790: The Internet Archive has the initial volume, which included 12 chapters.
• 1792: The Internet Archive has a 1792 supplement with a 13th chapter, scanned from microfilm.
• 1797: The Internet Archive has volume 2, part 1.
• 1798: Google Books has a volume containing an Abstract of Mr. Park's Account of His Travels and Discoveries.
• 1810: HathiTrust has a 2-volume compilation of Proceedings from 1790 onward.
