presents serial archive listings for
Real Detective Tales and Mystery Stories was an early American pulp magazine of detective fiction.
Real Detective Tales and Mystery Stories began publishing under that title in 1924, succeeding Detective Tales and continuing its issue numbering. The title shortened to Real Detective in 1931. No issue copyright renewals were found for this serial. The first copyright-renewed contribution is from February 1930 (v. 18 no. 4). (More details) The magazine continued at least as late as 1934, by which time it was de-emphasizing fiction, but we are not sure when publication ended.
