Publication History

Scouting began in 1913. The first copyright-renewed issue is February 1951 (v. 39 no. 2). The first copyright-renewed contribution is from November 1953. (More details) The magazine's last print issue appeared in 2020, but the publication continues as a website called Aaron on Scouting.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1913-1998, 2009-2013: The Portal to Texas History has most issues from the first 100 years of the magazine.
• 1915, 1918-1930: HathiTrust has parts of volumes 2 and 6-8, volumes 9-10, parts of volumes 11-12, volumes 13-14, parts of volume 15, and volumes 16-18. Some later volumes may be searchable but not readable online here.
• 1971-1977, 1982-1983, 1988, 1992-2008: Google Books has selected issues from volumes 59-96.
