Report of the Proceedings of the National Convention of the Socialistic Labor Party was the official report of the national conventions of the Socialistic Labor Party in the US. The conventions were held every couple of years.

Publication History

The party formed under the "Socialistic Labor Party" name in 1878, succeeding the Workingmen's Party of the United States that had been founded two years earlier. It counts the 1877 Workingmen's Party convention as its first national convention. By the 1889 convention, its name had shifted to the "Socialist Labor Party". (See the Related Serials section for the conventions for 1889 and afterwards.) The party continues to exist under that name today.

• 1877: The first convention is the 1877 Workingmen's Party convention where the name of the party is changed.
• 1879-1880: The Internet Archive has the proceedings (and platform and constitution) of the 2nd regular convention.
• 1881: The Internet Archive has the proceedings of the 3rd convention, held in New York in December 1881. The official account was issued in German.
• 1883: The Internet Archive has the proceedings of the 4thconvention, held in Baltimore in December 1883. The official account was issued in German. Some pages in this scan are not fully legible.
• 1885: The Internet Archive has the proceedings of the 5th convention, held in Cincinnati in October 1885. The official account was issued in German.
• 1887: The Socialist Labor Party website has the proceedings of the 6th convention.
