Publication History
The Author was founded in 1890 by Walter Besant. It is still published today.
Persistent Archives of Complete Issues
- 1890-1892, 1894-1898, 1900-1901, 1906-1911: HathiTrust has volumes 1-2, 5-8, 11-12, and 17-22. Access to volumes after 1900 may be restricted outside the United States.
- 1892-1893: HathiTrst has volume 3, covering June 1892 through May 1893.
- 1898-1899: HathiTrust also has volume 9, covering June 1898 to May 1899.
- 1906-1907: The Internet Archive has volume 17, covering October 1906 to July 1907.
- 1907-1908: The Internet Archive has volume 18, covering October 1907 to July 1908.
- 1925-1929: HathiTrust has volumes 36-39 freely readable online. Access may be restricted outside the United States. Some later volumes may be searchable but not readable online here.
