Videnskabelige Meddelelser fra Dansk Naturhistorisk Forening began in 1849, and published its first full volume in 1850. A second series began in 1859, a third in 1869, a fourth in 1879, a fifth in 1889, a sixth in 1899, a seventh in 1909, and an eighth in 1920. By 1912, volumes were also numbered from the start of the complete run. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial.
