Western Literary Messenger was "a family magazine of literature, science, art, morality, and general intelligence" published in Buffalo in the mid-19th century.
Western Literary Messenger appears to have begun publishing under that title in 1845. It may be a successor (with continued volume numbering) to a Literary Messenger that had begun in Buffalo in 1841. The last Western Literary Messenger issues we know of were published in 1857.
