Charles McLean Andrews, Ph.D, L.H.D. (1863 – 1943) was an American historian at Columbia University and Yale University professor whose "Colonial Period of American History, vol. 1 of 4," won him a Pulitzer Prize in 1935. He is author of the 1908 Johns Hopkins Press publication titled, "British committees, commissions, and councils of trade and plantations, 1622-1675," co-author of the 1910 publication titled "A bibliography of history for schools and libraries: with description and critical annotations," author of the 1912 publication, The Colonial Period, (From Wikipedia)
