The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is a political organization in the United States and the country's largest socialist organization. DSA is a big tent of socialists on the left-wing to far-left of the political spectrum, primarily under democratic socialism. DSA formed in 1982 as a merger of the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee (DSOC) and the New American Movement (NAM). It has a decentralized structure, where local chapters and ideological caucuses have high autonomy. (From Wikipedia)
