Mary Hall

(Hall, Mary, 1857-1912)

Mary-Hall is considered the first woman to have travelled from the tip of of the south of Africa to Cairo. She used a boat and took maffi. She became a member of the Royal Geographical Society and published a book, A Woman's Trek from the Cape to Cairo, about her journey described with a route map. Dates guessed at 1907
