(Lee, George W. (George Washington), 1894-1976)

George Washington Lee (January 4, 1894 – August 1, 1976) was an African-American soldier, writer, political leader and corporate executive. Born in Heathman, Mississippi in 1894, Lee spent most of his life in Memphis, Tennessee. Lee received numerous citations for his benevolence and civic initiatives. (From Wikipedia)
