James Maxton

(Maxton, James, 1885-1946)

James Maxton (22 June 1885 – 23 July 1946) was a Scottish left-wing politician, who served as Member of Parliament for Glasgow Bridgeton from 1922 until his death in 1946. He was the chair of the Independent Labour Party from 1926 to 1931 and from 1934 to 1939. (From Wikipedia)
