Akiki K. Nyabongo

(Nyabongo, Akiki K., 1907-1975)

Akiki Hosea Kanyarusoke Nyabongo (c. 1907 – October 2, 1975) was a Ugandan political activist and author. He was born a prince of the Toro Kingdom in West Uganda and received his university education in the United States and Britain. An Oxford-trained anthropologist, Nyabongo had teaching positions in the United States and continued anthropological research. He later returned to Uganda, contributing to its independence from Britain and lived there until his death. (From Wikipedia)
