Benjamin Tucker Tanner (December 25, 1835 – January 14, 1923) was an American clergyman and editor. He edited The Christian Recorder, an influential African American Methodist newspaper, and later founded The AME Church Review, an academic journal. He also served as a bishop in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. (From Wikipedia)
