Treasure Island is a novel written for children by Robert Louis Stevenson.
Bibliographic notesTreasure Island was first serialized in the magazine Young Folks from 1881 to 1882, under the pseudonym "Captain George North". It was first published as a book in 1883; the first illustrated edition was published in 1884. Since then many editions have been published.
