Henry V is a history play by William Shakespeare about King Henry V of England and his leadership of the English army in a war against France that includes the battle of Agincourt. Bibliographic notesAs with Shakespeare's other plays, there is no "original" manuscript or author-supervised publication of Henry V. The earliest publication of the play known to exist is a quarto edition published in 1600. Two more quarto editions followed before the play was published in the First Folio in 1623 in a considerably different form from the first quarto. Later editions may draw on these and other sources.
