Shopping online for books (including electronic books) 


I just posted on the Web a chapter that provides advice and links for
online shopping for books, including electronic books.

This chapter will appear in my book Shop Online the Lazy Way, which will
be published by Macmillan this July. (I wanted to post the whole book, but
by contract they limited me to 10%.)

The "Lazy Way" is a series like "Dummies," so some elements (including the
title) were dictated by the publisher's formula.  But I was given
considerable latitude, and was able to say much of what I wanted to say
the way the wanted to say it, (including mention of the Gutenberg
Project, and the Book People list.)

I'd very much appreciate it if folks from this list would take a look at
this chapter and get back to me with their suggestions, comments,
additions, etc. I'll use those to create an update document, which I'll
also post on the Web and will use as a basis for changes in future
editions.  I'll also use that info to update my Online Shopping Directory
-- a categorized and annotated list of links to all the sites mentioned in
the entire book, not just the book shopping chapter.
