Hello all,
Here at the Ohio University Telecommunications Center, we continue to add
Don Swaim's famous author interviews in RealAudio to our web site, Wired
for Books <http://wiredforbooks.org> .
Don Swaim recorded these interviews for CBS Radio during the 1970s, 1980s,
and early 1990s. The exact date for each interview is found in the title of
the RealPlayer when the interview is played. All of the interviews are on
tape at the Ohio University Archives and Special Collections, Donald L.
Swaim Collection (Manuscript Collection #177) in Athens, Ohio.
The interviews are informal in style and I think you will enjoy listening.
They vary in length from about twenty minutes to over forty minutes. Most
of the interviews have never been broadcast in their entirety, since Don
Swaim had to edit each interview down to a two-minute (!) radio feature.
We're adding two or three new interviews per week and the following is a
list of authors and dates of the interviews that are on the web now.
