Mercy Otis Warren, also Grace Sherwood

FYI -- I'm inputting the works of Mercy Otis Warren ("the conscience of
the revolution"). I'm doing it by hand because the only editons use the
old orthography -- with the s's that look like f's, and lots of
abbreviations -- which doesn't scan well. I'm not doing this as a
"scholarly" edition -- rather I'm updating the spelling, filling out the
abbreviations, and even spelling out the obscenities, which were
originally rended s__t, a_s, etc., trying to make a readable text.

So far, I've posted the first chapter of her three volume history of the
American Revolution (first published in 1805), and one of her plays (The
Blockheads, written in 1776, right after the British had left Boston).

To see these items, and the new material that I should be adding
regularly, please check

Comments, suggestions, corrections, etc. welcome.

I'm also going to input some documents related to Grace Sherwood, "the
reluctant witch" -- the only woman ever convicted of witchcraft in
Virginia. I'll be posted that at
http://www.samizdat.com/sherwood
(but there's nothing there yet.

Best wishes.
