Re: redeeming copyright


Here's what _I_ do NOT get. . .

What makes you think that anyone who has not made millions
on the first decade or two of sales is going to make millions
on 7 or 8 MORE decades of sales???
             
If anyone REALLY thinks this is going to happen, I suggest that
a one cent per hundred dollars contribution to an authors' fund
would MORE than cover payments to best selling authors for such
as get their best sales after the term of copyright.

As it is, in fact of reality, the ONLY people gaining from these
copyright extension are of two kinds:

1.  Those who have ALREADY made millions of sales.

2.  Those who simply do NOT want there to be any public domain.
