I see books all the time are are word for word the same as our Project
Gutenberg Etexts, complete with brand new copyright notices. . .which,
BTW, are no longer required. My guess is that if you challenged them
in court that they would say the copyright notice was only meant for
the cover art. . .which some more enlightened publishers will do. . .
label the copyright as only for art, intros, etc.

same thread, which I'll add here to streamline the thread. In
context of that post, I assume "these people" are the ones who put
up spurious copyright notices. -JMO]
Someday, when I/we have raised a billion dollars,
we should start suing all these people for
"Misuse of Copyright". . . .
