The point of taking an existing e-text, converting it,
proofing it, and sending it to Project Gutenberg is to
guarantee the availablity of the book. If the book exists at
only one site and that site goes down, we've lost the
e-text.

However, Gutenberg is so well backed up that short of the
entire internet crashing, the Gutenberg Library will always
be there.

BTW I'm as guilty as anyone of not sending e-texts I've
created to PG, mostly because the copyright check is a pain.
