Hello, I'm a rarely posting, mostly lurking list reader over
the many years and my apologies if something on this facet
of Copyleft extension has previously been posted and I missed it.
I saw no note of Stutz's publishing his first book using his DSL
licensing scheme here and I thought Stutz's Design Science License
(DSL) extension of copyleft from software to books & other
copyrightables might be of interest--even if Linux is not.
The book's release is August 2001, but the author already has
it available in HTML on his website. A blurb & links follow.

Generalized `Copyleft' License brings Open Source
beyond software Michael Stutz, the author of the
forthcoming book, THE LINUX COOKBOOK No Starch Press,
has developed a copyleft-style license that brings
the enormous benefits of Open Source software to books
and other works. The author of the license says "The
future is in openness and freedom, and in every individual's
right to cut and paste and copy and modify any work they like,
for any reason they like."
