Dear All,
I have added the following texts to Ovid and Others at:
http://www.tkline.freeserve.co.uk
1. Ovid: The Art of Love, Ars Amatoria, a new translation of his
worldly advice for lovers (two books for men, one for women!!).
Augustan Rome at its naughtiest (well all that's fit to print.... and
some that's not!).
2. From the Greek: Lines of Love, Wine and Song: The Muses at Work,
a translation by George Theodoridis of selected early Greek lyric
poetry from Anacreon to Sappho and beyond.
The texts are downloadable (free as air) in .htm, .doc, and .pdf formats
I am working now on Ovid's Cures for Love, Remedia Amoris (a short book
there aren't many!!) and George Theodoridis is working on what will be
a sparkling, modern translation of Aristophanes' Lysistrata, the comic
master's great and bawdy anti-war play.
(I have also linked the Zorrilla: Don Juan Tenorio play into the Dante
and Others site..so you can get it to from there as well as its home site
www.tonykline.btinternet.co.uk)
Best Wishes
