It now appears that NBCi has finally shut down its member-pages site.
I'd been hearing warnings about it for some months, and today
members.nbci.com appears to be unreachable, and there's no mention
or link to a member-pages section that I can find when I go
to www.nbci.com. So I presume they've finally pulled the plug.
I'd listed about 100 online books in this domain, mostly from the Naked
Word (as stored at the "etcollective" site) and Golden Gale.
Many of these editions or titles have since been picked up by other
free-etext projects (such as Blackmask, Gutenberg, and Virginia).
Some have also been mirrored at random user or commercial sites.
I'll be changing links on as many of these as I can find copies for,
and eventually delisting the rest. If you have or know of stable free
online copies of any of these, you can let me know so that I can list them.
Or, if any have disappared that you'd like to make sure stay alive, you may
still be able to pull copies out of Google's cache and either
put them up on your own site, or offer them to an etext project.
