I checked out the Fonix voice demonstrations and thought they were
pretty good--especially the male robot voice. However the Fonix site
was not that informative for the inexperienced such as myself. Perhaps
Leslie Evans or other Fonix owners can answer these basic questions.
Does the application provide listening in both MP3 and WAV files? Does
Fonix recognize e-texts in the French language? Does it recognize only
"plain vanilla" text (PG) or Adobe? Does it read all the information on
the title pages, page numbers, and so forth.
I listen to audiobooks from the library but the selections aren't all
that interesting. With Fonix, would I be able to download a PG text
onto a CDRom and listen in my vehicle?
The Online Book Page links to a Celebration of Women Writers; some of
these e-texts are illustrated. I'm wondering what Fonix would do when
it encounters those files? Pause?
Thanks for any additional information.
