Well, keeping a system up seems to be a problem along similar lines to
keeping e-texts around.  And the best way to do it is through mirroring of
databases.  I think a lookup database would still be useful even if
synchronization occurred over a 24 hour period.

To expensive for me.  And I *would* like the ability to note that I had
made X number of proofreading changes to a text, as well as the database
listing the locations of texts (hm. tie the IPL in?)

And this one, since free, seems more promising.  Will check it out, but
does seem like there's no need for a new system.  Ah well.
