There was a recent article on a Newton emulator over on Slashdot.org --- the
most interesting thing out of it to me was mention of an extension for Firefox
which allows one to read Newton Books from within Firefox:
http://www.newtonslibrary.org/nbrdr/
There's a fair collection of Newton books, so people who're travelling w/ a
laptop and want a new source of books to read may find this of interest.
(Disclaimer, it's said to be alpha quality and I've not tried d/l'ing it yet)
Aside on the Alice bit --- there is a site, ``The Etext Archives'' which has
attempted to preserve much of what was once available on BBSs:
http://www.etext.org/index.shtml
It doesn't look like Alice1.0.txt is there unfortunately, but perhaps someone
there has a copy but didn't upload 'cause a more recent version was available
elsewhere.
