Re: Trying to locate a book online hopefully a downloadable or html version

There's no free online copy of _Feminism Without Illusions_ that I know of.
(The book, which dates from 1991, is under copyright, and there's no mention
on the author's home page about a free online version.)

It looks like the book is available online for subscribers to
Questia, a pay website that targets the college student market. It doesn't
look like you can download it, but you can read it online through a Web
browser. Since you mention you use a reader program, you might want to
see whether the Questia site works well with it before you buy a
subscription. They have a free sample book at

    http://www.questia.com/PM.qst?action=freeBook

that should hopefully give you some idea of what the interface is like,
and whether it will work for you.

If you have a disability that prevents you from reading print books
normally, you may also be eligible to receive audio or digital books
free from the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically
Handicapped. (There are special exemptions in US copyright law that
allow the copying of copyrighted books for readers with disabilities.)
I don't see this book in their catalog, but you may want to ask them
if it can easily be made available.

You might also want to ask your local library what assistive or scanning
devices they have for readers. (Some libraries have special devices to
read books out loud or scan them in for readers with disabilities. Many
others have ordinary flatbed scanners and OCR programs that could be
used to produce text to be fed into a reader program.) If you're eligible,
you can just use these with the print copy you say your library has.

I hope this helps.
