Actually this has been done with movies DVD's and with music CD's. Though
now you have to send off 5 coupons (buy 5 boxes) toi get one free DVD movie.
I came across a 100 page book of fairy tales that came in pancake flour box
from Log Cabin. That came out in the earlier part of last century (No
copyright date or information. I am guessing from the illustrations and
a forward that refers to "The Great War" that it must have been late teen
or early '20's.. So books have been done before in cereal boxes. There
is nothing wrong with the idea.
