Re: The sound of the word

One of my favorite things to do with the books I like most
is to have my friends read them to me aloud.

I find that every one of my friends has a different way to
read them, and also will give voice to interpretations for
the very same words that are much different than mine.

The addition of these perspectives widents my appreciation
of these books in much the same way as seeing Shakespeare,
again and again, each time by different performers.

So my hopes are that many of us will choose to read aloud,
from the same works, so we can receive interpretations our
own readings might not have included.

It's amazing how often my friends and I will have what are
vastly different interpretations of the same words, such a
different set of readings, each of which seem quite valid,
that none of us would have come up with on our own.

I think this kind of project would greatly enhance Project
Gutenberg and other eBook sources, and I look forward to a
wide variety of readings to gain additional perspectives I
would not have had just on my own.

Thanks!!!
