thanks again to jose menendez for his
continuing work doing "digital reprints".
anyone digitizing any existing p-books
should follow jose's excellent lead here.
users should be able to change the view
at will (since that is a benefit of e-books),
but the default should mimic the p-book,
so as to maintain historic references to the
p-book, and leverage the synergy of the pair...
i would suggest an extension to what
jose is doing by the creation of other
versions that replicate the paper-book,
such as a plain-text one, .rtf, .html, etc.,
rather than the .pdf version alone, since
it is so difficult to remix out of a .pdf, but
this model jose is pioneering is superior...
i will once again make a public request here that
distributed proofreaders and project gutenberg
stop discarding linebreak and pagebreak info...
