[Moderator: I haven't reviewed the book-scanning product below
(nor am I particularly up-to-date on the latest such products)
but thought some folks on the list might be interested in knowing
about this one, for evaluation or comparison purposes. If anyone

Hello John,
I am Art Sarasin, president of Atiz Innovation Inc. I recently
contacted Roger Sperberg at TeleRead blog our company's new, low-cost book
scanning device that helps create ebooks and he suggested me that I contact
you because you or your fascinating community might benefit from it.
Because we want to make most productive book scanning available to everyone
(starting from medium to small-sized schools, colleges and libraries) so
there are more ebooks made available online, we created a product to make
that possible.
It is called "BookDrive DIY". It is a platform that allows users to turn
Canon digital cameras into a very low-cost, but hi-performance book scanning
station that can capture book pages at as fast as 1,800 pages an hour!
This would be extremely helpful for libraries and people around the world
who are working to make a virtual library to all human knowledge become
real.
If you would be so kind I would greatly appreciate you taking a moment to
review or mention it.
