I'm not going to go into the specifically and intentionally detailed
examples below, in fact I am snipping half of them.

snipping. In such cases, when there's no reply to specific bits
in the text, and the post is recent enough that its context is
still remembered-- in this case, it was the text of the post I made
last night-- I typically snip the whole quoted post. That's
what I've done here.- JMO]
However, I think the best response to this question comes from one
of my heroes, Nobel Prize winner Richard Feynman, who carefully said
something like this, and I hate to misquote, but I haven't time to
look it up right now, it's Newsletter day:
"I may or may not be smarter than anyone in this room,
but I am definitely NOT smarter than everyone in this room."
