In cleaning up bad links, I'd recently discovered that Richard Burton's
two-volume _Unexplored Syria_ had disappeared from the Web. I contacted
the original poster, and he mentioned that the ewbspace he had for them had
gone away, but he sent me the PDFs for the two volumes. If anyone is
interested in hosting these, let me know. They're transcriptions, rather
than page images, and a little under 2 MB total.
(I haven't taken a close look at the two files, but
on a quick glance they look useful. There was also a partial HTML text
on Blackmask that's shown up on a few mirrors, but that contained a much
smaller portion of this work.)
