And Business Week, and Slate, and the WSJ, and...

Goes to show the marketing power of Sony. Unfortunately, the reviews
are pretty uniformly bad.

Business Week's headline is "Gutenberg 1, Sony 0".

The Slate review complains that it can't read online books, and
decides in favor of the paperback book.

Walt Mossberg at the WSJ calls it a "first draft" (but admitted he
enjoyed using it).

I think the main problem (E-Ink is another, but minor, problem) is
that this device is built around the 1998 model of off-line ebooks, a
model which never really took off. And by now, it's been far
surpassed by on-line reading. Few want a device which can't be used
to check Wikipedia or Google or the NY Times or your email, and which
can't be used to send or receive text messages.
