Re: EPA Libraries Go Digital, More in 2007

On the closing of the EPA libraries see also

A library is more than a document center for the intellectual
production of the own institution.

A library is hosting (typically) thousands of books and journals which
could not digitized due of copyright reasons.

Database vendors allow only inhouse use. If a library is closed there
is no way for the citizen to use the online databases.

Closing the EPA libraries is an assault on the culture of information.
Digitizing EPA publications is no substitution.
