I suppose that for most middle class Americans that might be true.
But not everyone blogging is middle class or American or has as much
disposable income as you might think.

My DSL and local telephone line works out to be about 10% of my
monthly income. A night out where I live costs about US$5 for two
which is certainly far less than I'm paying for my DSL. And even
then, we sometimes can't even afford the five bucks to go out some
months.

I have friends in Beijing who spend more than 30% of their monthly
income to get crummy dialup access to the net!

I don't ask for donations and I doubt I ever would, but I know a lot
of people who would be very grateful to have an extra US$10 a month to
help get by.

If you are so fortunate, and that much money is so little to you, you
should consider donating once in a while or at least keep such
insensitive rants to your self.
