Simon and Schuster first published 'Your Income Tax' in 1936, with the first edition written by Hugh Satterlee and I. Herman Sher. J. K. Lasser took over for the 1940 edition. The series became officially titled 'J. K. Lasser's Your Income Tax' with the 1950 edition, and has kept that title into the 21st century, even though Lasser died in 1954. Early renewals were filed under Books, not Periodicals.
