The Little Iodine character first appeared in the King Features newspaper comic 'They'll Do It Every Time'. Eventually she got her own King Features newspaper comic. King Features regularly renewed copyrights to its features via its own weeklies, beginning in the 1930s.
The first issue of this series was renewed as a book. Issue #2 of the standalone series and later issues are recorded as Periodicals in their renewals.
Prior to this series, two 'Little Iodine' comics were published as numbers 224 and 257 of Dell's 'Four Color Comic' series. Both issues were renewed as books.
