Additional notes
This Sunday newspaper supplement was originally published by the New York Herald Tribune, but also appeared in many other Sunday newspapers in the course of its run. Some contribution renewals are for material that appeared in specific local editions of This Week.
A 1967 renewal for E. Phillips Oppenheim's story collection 'General Besserley's Second Puzzle Box' (1940) mentions that it was published serially in This Week from April 24, 1938 to February 26, 1939. Exact dates for each story are not specified, and the renewal specifies 'additions' made for the book, but it's possible that this renewal could also cover his stories published here in 1939.
A 1968 renewal for W. C. Fields' book 'Fields for President' (1940) mentions that it was published serially in This Week from October 15, 1939 to March 10, 1940. Exact dates for each installment are not specified, but this renewal could cover the installments published here in 1940.
