The American Annual Cyclopaedia and Register of Important Events was the original title of an annual series published by D. Appleton and Co. It was sold as an annual supplement to their New American Cyclopaedia.

Publication History

The first volume of The American Annual Cyclopaedia and Register of Important Events covered the year 1861, and was originally published in 1862. This volume and others were reprinted in later years as well. Volumes published under this title cover years up to 1874. The title changed to Appletons' Annual Cyclopaedia for later volumes. Listings below are shown under the year they cover, which pre-dates the year of publication.
