The Black Mask began in 1920. The first actively copyright-renewed issue is February 1926 (v. 8 no. 12), © January 12, 1926. The first actively copyright-renewed contribution is from September 1927 (v. 10 no. 7). (More details) It ran until 1951. A short-lived revival also ran for a few years in the 1980s.
