Additional notes
A 1979 renewal for The Bloody Bokhara by William Campbell Gault notes that it was published in the November 1948 issue of Black Mask. The copyright claim, however, appears to be for a revised version published in 1951 or 1952, and the renewal would be too late to cover the earlier 1948 publication.
Some 1950s issues of this magazine included reprints whose copyrights might still be active. Examples include the January 1951 issue, which includes the copyright-renewed 1933 story 'The Green Widow', and the July 1951 issue, which includes a story reprinted from the copyright-renewed May 1941 issue. The FictionMags contents listings include information about reprints.
